Regest

A regestum of a donation by which Hartwig of Piran together with his wife Bona donates Kaštel (Castelvenere) to Ulrich, the margrave of Istria.

Izvornik
The original is presumed lost, only a late 14th-century regestum survives recorded in the work titled Thesuari claritas which survives in several manuscript traditions, two of which, both from the first quarter of the 15th century, are considered the most representative:

Opaske urednika

The transcription provided here is based on the exemplar from the State Archive in Udine, cited in Sources field and displayed in the Facsimile field. However, Bianchi's edition is based on another manuscript, one kept in the Archivio Diocesano. A critical edition of Thesauri claritas that will compare both manuscripts is definitely a historiographical desideratum, one that will, at least for entries concerning Istria, be undertaken in the near future. Both manuscripts are based on the late 14th-century original, but both are copies made in the first decades of the 15th century.
