Kolana od statuti / Collana degli statuti
The Kolana od statuti [Eng. the series of statutes] is a series begun in 2007 through the collaboration of the Croatian State Archive in Pazin and the County of Istria with the goal of (re)publishing all the existing medieval statutes of Istrian communities in exemplary critical editions together with the statutes' translation into contemporary Croatian. All the editions feature three introductory studies – the first on the manuscripts of the statutes and its linguistic features, the second on the medieval and early modern history of the community in question, the third on the juridico-historical aspects of the statute –published in Croatian and Italian, along with the digital reproduction of the oldest preserved manuscript on which the edition is based upon. In 2010 the series editor was made Neven Budak and the publishing house Humaniora from Zagreb has been co-publishing the statutes in the series ever since. It is thanks to Humaniora that the full volumes of the Kolana od statuti series are available for direct download through the FIM webpage, completely free of charge!
