The Venetian Great Council transfers the seat of the Istrian provincial captainate from Poreč to Sveti Lovreč, ordering the captain to reside there with expanded military and administrative personnel.

Cum per terras paysanatici teneantur quotidie stipendiarii decem in Sancto Laurencio, propter quod homines paysanatici multum conqueruntur, captum fuit pars:
Quod capitaneus paysanatici facere debeat residentiam in Sancto Laurentio, sicut faciebat in Parencio, habendo regimen et salarium potestarie, quod salarium est circa libras IIIIc, non habendo aliquid pro itinere vel reditu pro potestaria, et debeat propterea tenere, ultra id quod tenet modo, unum socium qui sit a XXX annis supra, quem accipere debeat de voluntate domini ducis et consiliariorum, cui dare teneatur libras C in anno ad parvos, qui socius remaneat rector loci quando exiret, et etiam duos domicellos et unum equum de precio soldorum XL grossorum vel inde supra, et sit per unum annum. Et teneat etiam tenere unum notarium pro regimine potesterie, qui habeat illud salarium, quod habent notarii potestatum Sancti Laurencii, cui facere debeat id, quod potestas nunc facere tenetur.
This decree of the Venetian Great Council marks the official transfer of the provincial captainate of Istria from Poreč to Sveti Lovreč. To this day Sveti Lovreč in Istria is officially called “Pazenatički” or “del Pasenatico”, echoing the distant 14th century when the town was the seat of this important Venetian official. In 1394, the seat of the captainate was officially transferred to Rašpor, marking the end of an era in Sveti Lovreč.
